Foreign Business Club was opened to foreigners only, who are in senior and managerial positions in business, diplomacy, education, science, and related fields. FBC does not intend to compete with local, national and international associations and chambers of commerce, as it is going to be the Club for individual members, not organizations.
The First Foundation Meeting took place at the LRCCI in February 2010, the official opening of Foreign Business Club took place on March, 18 at the Taleon Club.
The main goals and tasks for the Club are:
• To create an international forum for cultural and social exchange, and for sharing members’ working and living experience in Russia and other countries
• To assist foreigners to adapt to Russia; to facilitate mutual trust between Russians and foreigners
• To support foreigners - especially newcomers - with community information, and with advice on legal, educational etc services
• To exchange knowledge about the business culture of the Club’s members’ countries of origin
• To share knowledge about Russian culture, language, history, behavior and communication style
• To develop constructive dialogue between the Club members and state structures, municipal bodies and non-governmental organizations.
The Department for External Economic relations LRCCI provides administration support for everyday activities, which include dinners, visits to places of interest, social, sporting and cultural outings, seminars and meetings to discuss things of common interest and to exchange information in a relaxing atmosphere where club members don’t have to talk only about business.
