On January 12, 2012 in conference hall of LCCI (Leningrad Chamber of Commerce and Industry) a meeting took place with the Sosnovy Bor city administration's envoys, and with president of Chamber of Commerce of Evros region, Greece - Mr. Christodoulos Topsidis being also president of Greek Association of repatriated businessmen, and representative of Alexondropoli, brother city of Sosnovy Bor. Guests were informed of advantages of Saint Petersburg and Leningrad region as acknowledged regions in Russia for business and investments. Guests were acquainted also with functions, purposes and achievements of LCCI. The Greek side told about political and economic situation in Evros and Greece, about activity and tasks of the Evros Chamber of Commerce. It was expressed a hope on close contacts in the future, and a wish to organize business mission to Alexondropoli, a large resort and tourist center in Greece. The Greek side expressed also interest in bringing Russian capitals for purchases of local property due to highly favorable terms, in receipt of more detailed information on investment projects in Leningrad region and activity of LCCI, in establishment of close cooperation between the Evros Chamber of Commerce and LCCI.
