| Customs union regulation – Call Center of LRCCI. | |
|
On 05 July, 2010 the presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan signed a statement regarding the coming into force of a new customs union code. The main aim of the customs union is to create a single market of some 170 million people, boosting trade and investment between its members.
Despite customs union code has come in force national regulations of countries in this sphere have not been harmonized yet. This situation resulted in various misunderstandings arising between participants in external economic activities and State authorities.
Customs opened hotlines for consulting for law enforcement of new regulations. Although most of them work effectively, very often we can hear subjective attitude in interpretation of new rules. Some governmental organizations among hotlines’ telephones even indicated non-existing telephone numbers or numbers where it is impossible to receive any consultation.
Taking into consideration all these temporary problems Association of exporters and importers in cooperation with Guild of professional participants in external economic activities decided to open own direct hotline for providing consultations in sphere of new customs’ regulation enforcement.
The Call Center started working on 05 July, 2010. First week of project’s life has brought following results:
- around 100 calls were received and treated;
- a list of most frequently asked questions with comments was worked out and published in several internet recourses (www.lotpp.ru, www.tks.ru, www.ratb-sz.ru);
- a list of controversial questions where the specific answers haven’t been obtained was sent to corresponding governmental organizations for explanation.
We inform again that participants in external economic activities are welcomed to ask their questions both by means of telephone (numbers 812-334-49-66, 812-334-49-65), or transfer e-mail requests to eximport@lotpp.ru mailbox. Our experts are always ready to render law assistance.
